Every December (well… no let’s face it… November) I break out all the buffalo plaid things to celebrate Christmas. And for the past several years… my planner has been all things buffalo plaid.

I love every minute of it…so much so that this year, I added several new buffalo plaid-themed items to the shop (and I’m sure there will be more next year as well…)

The Planner

I have a few A6 ring-size covers. This size is great. It’s small enough to be extremely portable, and “big” enough to fit everything I need, without seeming massive.

I used the cover from Van Der Spek (purchased second-hand from Mercari). It’s in the Touch Me Noir leather – and guys… this leather is so soft and gorgeous!

See the bottom of this post for a quick list of products used with links.

Most of the Buffalo Plaid cards and inserts are part of a deco kit I created for my planner (available in my Etsy Shop – Darby Doodle Shop). It includes planner cards, insert dashboards and there are even add-on options for notes pages. I loved putting these together and am full of ideas for future “kits” to offer like this.

It was so fun to pair what I already had with things I was creating myself.

Now… is it a beautiful planner set up without tabs? I used a combination of dividers (clear dividers I cut from empty lamination pouches using this digital file from Etsy.) as well as some buffalo plaid tab stickers from Planner Press. Last, I used this video from Daksina to make some word floating tabs (December, To Do, Today, etc.) out of Buffalo Plaid vinyl.
