In 2024, I made it a full year consistently in one planner size: personal rings. And my archive book gives me all the feels when I go back and flip through it.
2025 has seen a bit more flip flopping. I started off in personal rings, had some affairs with Standard TN and have since landed back in personal rings, but with FCC (Franklin Covey Compact) sized inserts. All the while still trying to fit Standard TN in to my planning system somehow – its the beautiful covers I have…
I’m more of a one planner kind of person, and I like to have EVERYTHING – plans, commonplace, journal, memory keeping – all in one spot, in one size.

You can check out a quick (silent) flip of my planner here.
The Planner (Cover)
The cover of choice (for the moment… and if I’m honest, most moments) is my Custom VDS in Italian Black Leather. I opted for 30mm gold rings and gold clasps. if you have a VDS… you know.. the quality is impeccable and this leather is just stunning.
There are 6 card slots on the front cover with a full pocket behind them, a large back pocket across the whole of the planner, and full pocket on the inside back cover and two pen loops. I use these for task cards, photos, magnetic decorative clips – an air tag (so I don’t loose my life), stickers and other miscellaneous items.
- Cards: Key Card, Home Tasks & AM/PM Routine (planner press – no longer available), Be Still (planning with k – no longer available), Self-Love (she simply plans – shop on break), Be Aspirational/Be Motivated (freebie – hey planner girl)
- Metal Stencil (Alum & Ink)
- Oli Clip – Neutral (OLIBLOCK – no longer available)
- Lumos Pen in Matte Black (Tom’s Studio)
- Fount Pen Magnetic Pin (planning with k)
The Sections
My planner is broken down into 6 main sections, with an inbox section at the front.
The inbox section holds some deco, a table of contents, routines, holiday list, yearly overview calendar and a full top tab INBOX divider – which holds stick notes and tabs I’m not using at the moment.
- twenty twenty five vellum (freebie)
- table of contents/routines (hey planner girl x paper tess designs – home management bundle)
- 2025 holidays (hey planner girl – freebie)
- 2025 yearly overview (hey planner girl) – yearly calendar printed on velum overlayed on top of twenty twenty five printed on regular paper
- sticky notes (paper tess designs)

Next up is the track & list section. This houses all my trackers (that I am horrible at keeping up with. I keep things like birthday & anniversary lists, health tracking, a tracker for my birdhouse activity, gigs & important events, habit tracking.
I also keep lists in this section – things like wish lists, order lists and gift ideas.

- health tracker (paper tess designs – freebie)
- birdhouse tracker (paper tess designs)
- gig tracker (paper tess designs)
- habit tracker (paper tess designs)

After all my trackers comes the agenda section. This houses my calendars – monthly, weekly and daily.

- weekly (paper tess designs)

The planner would not be complete without a work section. This is for my day job – i work in banking/mortgages – and helps me keep on track with my work projects and tasks.
- work time log (paper seasons co) – for overtime tracking
- weekly overview (paper tess designs)
The fourth sections is for all my projects. Things like this blog, planner setups & notes from videos I watch, freebie ideas & designs, digital journaling projects and whatever else comes to mind. In this section I also use a combination of different sized inserts – my main project pages are FCC sized, but within each project I will often use vertical half pages or even personal sized pages to somewhat “notate” that those pages are for that particular project.
- project pages (hey planner girl)
- task manager (paper tess designs)
- notes (hey planner girl, paper tess designs)
- circle checklist (the ghosting pen)
- project top tab kan ban (DIY msyelf)
Next up is my notes section. This is mainly for random notes I’m not sure where to put yet – they could become projects or be migrated to my reference section or just eventually archived or thrown out.
- notebook cover (watch becca plan – freebie)
- notes pages (literally from all the shops)
Lastly, is the reference section. My collection of items and things I generally reference on a regular basis for planning and life. Items like my planner and pen collections, ink swatches, inserts by shops, movie and book lists.
Also in this section, I have the home management planner from hey planner girl x paper tess designs. This set has been a huge inspiration for how i created my entire planner system and decorations – like dashboard section covers – for my planner.
- planner & pen collection (haroo plans)
- pen swatches (unknown)
- entertainment bundle (paper tess designs)
- home management planner (hey planner girl x paper tess designs)
- trigger lists (plan with bee – though i retyped to match the font & style of my planner)
There you have it. A glimpse into my planner & all it’s “insides”. Remember… check out a quick flip here if you so desire.
Happy Planning!
