Next up on our day of easy hikes for the 4-3-2-1 Way Challenge was Grassy Pond. After finishing our visit to Deathbrook Falls, we were looking for another quick and relaxing trail, and this one fit the bill perfectly.

Hike Report
7/11/2017
We headed a short distance down Route 28 to the trailhead for Grassy Pond. The trail was easy to follow and offered a peaceful walk through the woods with only a small amount of elevation gain along the way.
While the trail was muddy in a few spots, it was otherwise an enjoyable hike. The forest was quiet, and before long, we arrived at Grassy Pond. The pond itself was beautiful and serene, making for a pleasant destination after such a short walk.

The only downside was that many of the views were partially obstructed by vegetation, making it difficult to get a clear look at the water from some areas. It’s possible that continuing on to Wilson Pond would have provided additional viewpoints, but that adventure would have to wait for another day.
Even with the limited views, Grassy Pond was a nice, easy hike and another step closer to completing the challenge.

Grassy Pond offers an easy and pleasant walk through the woods, making it a great option for beginners or anyone looking for a quick outing. Unfortunately, the pond views were somewhat overgrown during our visit, which took away from the overall experience. Still, it’s a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area, especially if you plan to continue on toward Wilson Pond.

Happy Hiking Friends!
